- Bontebok National Park

The rare and beautiful Bontebok Antelope and other small buck species can be seen at this park, a total of 126 different bird species have been identified here.

 

 

 

- Drostdy Museum

The open-air complex of the Drosdy Museum consists several historic buildings including official town and country dwellings. It is renowned for its fine collection of late 18th and early 19th century cape furniture.

 

 

 

- Marloth Nature Reserve

The reserve is a botanist’s dream with an abundance of wild flowers and fynbos. Various day walks and hiking trails have been established.

 

 

 

- Bonnievale- Robertson Wine Route

- De Hoop Nature Reserve

Some of the best whale viewing in the world for the Southern Right Whale    

rare species of Fynbos and the rare Bontebok and Cape Mountain Zebra, as well as Eland, Grey Rhebuck, Baboon etc.  

  

 

 

- Malgas Ferry

The hand-drawn pontoon over the Breede River at Malgas, 40 km from Swellendam, is believed to be the last remaining pont operating in South Africa. 

 

 

 

- Cape Agulhas

Southernmost point in Africa, where “The Two Oceans Meet”. The lighthouse is the second oldest working lighthouse in South Africa.
